Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are all set to share screen space for the second time in Mr & Mrs Mahi. The lead actors were seen promoting the film in the city. But Janhvi Kapoor stole the spotlight with her latest fashion statement. She wore a cricket-themed dress adorned with cricket balls. The young actress turned heads as she arrived at the event in Mumbai.

In the video, shared by Viral Bhayani, we can see Janhvi Kapoor walking with Rajkummar Rao for the photography session. Suddenly Rajkummar Rao turned her and showed cricket balls in red colour attached to her dress in a line. Janhvi was seen laughing. Many praised her. The actress was also seen obliging fans with selfies.

On Wednesday, Janhvi Kapoor shared new posters and wrote, “Miliye Mr aur Mrs Mahi se, inke liye life is cricket aur cricket is life cricket se badh ke, Mr Mahi only loves his dear wife. #MrAndMrsMahi in cinemas on 31st May, 2024.” The first poster shows Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao wearing their Indian jerseys and standing close to each other. They are smiles, and the Indian flag could be seen painted on their faces. In the second poster the duo can be seen screaming with joy. The tagline on the posters said, “An imperfectly perfect partnership.”

According to a source close to the entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, the trailer for ‘Mr And Mrs Mahi’ is scheduled for release in the second week of May, with the exact date to be confirmed shortly. Following the trailer launch, the songs will be unveiled as part of a three-week campaign leading up to the film’s premiere.

In Mr & Mrs Mahi, Rajkummar will be portraying the character of Mahendra Singh Dhoni while Janhvi would essay the role of a character called Mahima. In an interview with Mid-Day, Janhvi had earlier revealed that she underwent a gruelling six months of intensive training in order to adapt to the mannerisms of a cricketer. The actress had said, “It was an exhaustive process of six months to get into the skin of the character and sync into the role.”
